Technology Evangelist

Worldwide, Remote

The Technology Evangelist is responsible for promoting the company products on all available platforms and supporting the company community and user base from product, market, and technology aspects.

Required activities and tasks:  

  • Engage in conversations with users on social media (Twitter, StackOverflow, Linkedin, etc.), the company forums, IRC, and Slack channel   

  • Create high-quality technical content   

  • Write blog posts and enhance existing material   

  • Occasionally help support customers troubleshoot issues related to the products   

  • Follow up on related products on the market, identify gaps and suggest enhancements   

  • Work with the sales team to ensure they have the material they need to get their job done   

  • Maintain professional relationships with the users of the social media   

  • Research and integrate NXLog with third-party solutions and shiny new tech that emerges   

  • Help the company user and customer base grow   

  • Identify and define target audiences and the best strategies to reach them   

  • Active participation in the teamwork  

  • Close cooperation and communication with all partner departments   

Requirements: 

Experience: 

  • have several years of experience working in a similar role at IT and tech companies preferably in the IT security software segment 

  • Experience with log management tools and SIEM products (QRadar, ArcSight, Splunk, Snare, syslogd, Logstash, Kafka, Scribe, ELK, Graylog, etc.) 

  • Experience in information security and optionally having a CISA, CISSP, or similar certification 

  • Scripting languages: shell, pearl, python, powershell 

  • Configuration management 

  • Network protocols, Firewalls 

  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) 

Qualification: Master’s degree in Information Technology or similar 

Competencies: good marketing, communication, and negotiation skills, customer-oriented, passionate to hack on Linux systems while also feeling at home on Windows, documentation skills 

Competencies for remote work: self-governance, autonomy (motivation and proactiveness), strong time management, intercultural communication, collaboration, adoption of remote communication tools, discipline, reliability, self-motivation, self-advocacy, and flexibility  

Professional experience (years): minimum 5 years 

Language: Fluent English skills (written and oral) 

PC knowledge: advanced level of MS Office knowledge
